Peter Bortz | Gallery Owner
Peter Bortz opened Georgetown Frame Shoppe in 1989. Peter has always had a great appreciation for and interest in art. After receiving a BA in economics at the University of Maryland 1986, he strove to combine his interest in art with his business skills. Since 1989, the company has evolved from a focus on rare vintage animation art and custom picture framing to a vast catalog of blue-chip modern and contemporary prints from around the world. As gallery owner, Peter Bortz is involved in the daily operation of the gallery to ensure its high level of customer service. He also travels extensively and meets with the most well known, reputable art dealers and auction house personnel. Peter is committed to sourcing artwork at a good value so he can offer it to you, our clients, at the very best price. Peter's goal is to have a trustworthy, reliable, and exciting gallery. Georgetown Frame Shoppe is always a work in progress.
Jonathan Vandenbosch | Director of Sales
Jon Vandenbosch received a BS in Economics, Minor in Finance, and a Masters in Accounting at American University here in DC. As Director of Sales, Jon works closely with Peter to assist clients in sourcing fine art prints for clients at the very best price. He gained his interest in art at a young age thanks to trips to the National Gallery of Art. Jon joined the Georgetown Frame Shoppe team in 2015.
Eva Parisi | Gallery Director
Eva received a BA in Communications from the College of Charleston in 2022. She worked at a local marketing agency while in Charleston and at the Museo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy after graduation. As the gallery director, Eva manages day-to-day operations with a focus on digital marketing and client relations. Growing up in the DC area, Eva has always been passionate about artwork and joined the Georgetown Frame Shoppe team in 2023.
Andrew Keast | Framer
Andrew received a BA in German and Art History from the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University, and an MA in Art History from Case Western Reserve University. He has worked as an art librarian for the University of Pittsburgh and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, an art history instructor at Case Western and the University of Arizona, and as a picture framer and art installer, and in having done so brings a unique skill set to the Shoppe. When not at the Shoppe an avid reader, runner, and swimmer.
Julia Mae Bancroft | Framer
Julia Mae Bancroft received a B.F.A. from The Corcoran College of Art + Design in 2013. She also spent a semester at the Central Saint Martins College of Art + Design in London, England, and is a represented artist in Washington, DC. Julia has produced both solo and group exhibitions and joined the Georgetown Frame Shoppe team in 2021.
Natalie Cox | Framer
Natalie received a B.F.A. in studio art from the University of Alabama in 2019. She held a residency position at the McGuffey Art Center in Charlottesville, VA and has produced both solo and group exhibitions as a represented artist in Alexandria, VA. Natalie worked as an art restoration specialist for the DMV Metro area before joining the Georgetown Frame Shoppe team in 2023.
